Support Group for Parents and Others

NAMI - Athens has expanded its outreach efforts and now offers a support group for parents, guardians, and family members of children and teenagers with brain disorders or mental health compromises. Meetings are held at 6 PM on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at the Beacon School on West Union Street, in Athens.

Childcare and a light meal are provided to afford family members better opportunity to participate. In order to ensure that there is an adequate number of volunteers (all background screened) for childcare, we request that participants notify us via phone or email to advise us of the number of children who will be attending, and if there are any special needs.
