Littler's Letter to his wife, Sue
Sergeant Major Nathan Connel Littler was
a Veteran of the Civil War. While fighting in Atlanta, he wrote the letter
below* to his wife. The
year was 1864. Many years after he completed his service in
the Union Army, he was buried at the Ridges, in a
plot marked with only a number: 120. In 2009, his descendants would
locate his grave and see to it that he received the recognition he deserved. Read Littler's remarkable story,
